I'm translating a complex piece of software and the text strings contain placeholders that would be affected by the adjective's gender and number. For example, "Add new {placeholder}" in which one would adjust the gender of "new" to the gender of the term appearing in the placeholder (for example: client, agenda, supplier, property, meeting, etc.).
In your experience, how do we solve that problem in Spanish?

In Spanish all words ending in "ente" stay that way no matter the gender
like: presidente, cliente, sobresaliente, atacante, sufriente, cantante, existente, estudiante, paciente, etc. All you do is put el or la before the word.

 
We have a woman president in Argentina, Cristina Kirchner, who insists on calling herself "la Presidenta de los Argentinos".........and she is a lawyer!!!!!!!!!!!!!
