Hello,
I’m new at this amazing world of freelance translations, and I am trying my hardest to get clients. I’m charging super cheap, giving sample translations, letting them know that I am a beginner but, that I have been going to the University of California San Diego, to get my certificate as an interpreter and translator, and I still cant get any one to “bite the hook” sort of speak. Can any one give me any suggestions or advice on how to better market my self? I really need the money and I am honestly really good!

Hi,
I'm not sure whether being "super cheap" is the best path to follow. Many clients, myself included, are rather suspicious about "super cheap" rates because they worry they will get a "super cheap" result on which they will have to spend countless hours to make a "super cheap" translation a usable one. Thus, "super cheap" might become "super expensive".
Do not undersell yourself. Continue sending CVs, doing short sample translations (no longer than 250 words!) and you will get results.

Hi Jezz,
no problem.
Only my reply took a week to be published. Anyone happens to know why?
