US based company active in the field of Innovation and Crowdsourcing is seeking native and professional translators from IT into English (US) and from US English into Italian for on-going basis translation jobs that will start last quarter of 2009 and will continue to 2012.
Maximum work load will be an average of 200,000 to 250,000 words per year.
Trados is a requirement as linguists are required to keep up-to-date a Translation Memory for the customers.
Experience in one or more of the following fields is also a requirement:
Food processing, Biomedical and Biotechnology, Sustainable Chemistry, New Materials, Creativity and digital multimedia, Architecture and sustainable hydrogen, Renewable energies and biofuels, Plants, Systems and components for renewable energy, Renewable energy and small hydro, Information & Communication Technology, Mechanical and Electronics Engineering and advanced manufacturing systems, Textile.
Linguists will be requited to submit a translation sample in one of the areas above and to undergo a free translation test of about 250 words for us to evaluate.
Cultural adaptation is also a must as the linguist is required to be a native speaker who knows the nuances and the culture of his/her home Country.
Only free-lance translators are eligible to participate.
