We are looking for linguists for an ongoing translation project. If you are interested in collaborating, please send us your resume.
· Language: English into FinnishDanishSwedish [experienced translators or linguists only]
· Task: Translation Proofreading
· Content: TV shows, movies, and other similar content. We have been working on series such as American Horror Story, Futurama, Pretty Little Liars, among others.
· Tools: Work will need to be conducted on Ooona—a very user-friendly online translation platform. Within the translation workspace, you will find two columns—source and target—and a video for reference.
· Budget: For this task, the rates will be expressed as the client does, in minutes of video. However, please note this is NOT a subtitling task.
o The rate for translation is USD 1.5 per minute of video, which is about USD 22.5 per hour.
(Note: Its estimated that 15 mins of video can be translated approximately in one hour.)
o The rate for QC + proofreading is USD 1 per minute of video, which is about USD 23 per hour.
(Note: Its estimated that 23 of video can be QC + proofread in one hour.)
· Notes:
o Regarding "Translation", the task requires the translation of video captions—not subtitling. We do not require that you create timestamps, synchronise content, or do any other similar tasks.
o Regarding "Proofreading", you do not have to compare the source against the target. Only focus on proofreading the target version.
o You will be asked to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement for us to share more information.
